  • It could always be worse...

Second month in a row Chansiri has not paid SWFC wages. Staff threatening to walk away and there's a genuine threat of liquidation.

For as much as I despise this hierarchy, I am grateful it has never got THIS bad under them.

Pretty sure I said Chansiri was a worse owner than Tan in a thread a few weeks back, but, if I didn't, I'm saying it now.

However, I don't think Sheffield Wednesday under Chansiri would have made a signing as mad as Simic was for us and I don't think they would have filled out the forms wrongly when signing a striker for a club record fee like we did. Therefore, while Sheffield Wednesday have a worse owner, I'm. far from convinced that he and his adminsitrative staff/Board are as inept as ours are.

Different fish, Tan doesn’t seem to mind throwing his money away as he makes all the woeful decisions, literally lost count of how many bad manager decisions he’s made since Warnock. It’s like he’s the pissed bloke in the casino who just won 100 grand, but everyday.

More deliberate than inept I would have thought.

Sheffield Wednesday failed to pay their senior players on time for the third occasion in the last four months this week; FIFA regulations state that any player who has not received their salary on the correct date for two consecutive months can terminate their contract

Several Sheffield Wednesday players have signalled their intent to terminate their contracts and leave as free agents this month due to their pay dispute with the club, Sky Sports News understands.

Says the club then have 15 days to pay and regain control. Probably just pay them all on 14 days.

The Owls supporters groups and trust i think released a joint statement yesterday saying they're encouraging fans to boycott purchasing any club endorsed products, such as new shirts etc

Looks like Hull are getting a 3 window embargo, for non-payment of loan fees.

I think we have a situation developing here (and with us) which is to the detriment of the game and fans alike. Stubborn owners not accepting offers at deemed market value. I'm sure the powers that be never envisaged this problem and it's reasonable to suggest heads need to be banged together to explore possible solutions.

I’m not sure we’ve ever held out for a reasonable offer, I don’t think we’ve ever put a sell on clause in! Someone said O’Dowda went for less than a million, just after signing a new contract.
