He may not need to depending on how well the quicks exploit the cracked pitch

In order to win, I think he needs to positively contribute - as Washington sundar did for India

If Bashir is needed to bowl, the game has gone. It's all about the quicks, KL Rahul and Pant

Three wickets for England in the first hour, India now 97-7 with Jadeja their main hope.

India, as in the first test, have blown a great opportunity.
Okay give credit to Stokes and Archer getting England back in the game but not building a lead in the first innings will almost certainly cost them.
England trying their best to bully the Indian batters.
            Great entertainment.

Another wicket just before lunch, India 112-8 - Jadeja’s still there mind.

Jadeja needs to up his scoring rate if India are to have a chance. Don't think Siraj and Bumrah will hang around long enough otherwise.

I reckon he's turned down at least 20 singles since lunch. It's not as if Bumrah hasn't looked comfortable. do they think they're going to hang around til close of play ? Could easily be 30 odd to win by now.

So frustrating for Jadeja - Bumrah had played so well, there was only one way he was going to get out and he did!

Its a tough one for Jadeja.
Bumrah has done okay playing defensively but he's been tempted by the short one on a number of occasions, jadeja showing his displeasure.

If India lose this which they almost certainly will, it wont be Jadeja or Bumrah who lost it but their "batsmen" teammates.

                          Bashir!!!!!!

                          Great Test.

India have dominated for long parts of this series and find themselves 2-1 down.

Bashir the match winner, how unlucky was that for Siraj.

Seeing the replay I dont think he had time to kick it away.
