Thanks for this. As much as it has been an anxious and somewhat turbulent time as a fan in VTs reign, attendances have been high during it.

So City had a higher average attendance than Man Utd in 1953, despite finishing below them in the league.

I posted this a while back, just to add to those already posted :

It's details every single game played in the Football League/PL since inception. It also has attendances, scorers, and in the top flight games the team sheets. It also shows the league table for each division after every game. Click on 'calendar' to bring up the season you want to view and then just choose the date you want

For example, this is the 1st week of the season 99 years ago !
