    Re: Usyk v Dubois

Usyk is such an intelligent boxer, you so rarely see him in any trouble, I can't see any heavyweight around right now beating him. Parker really deserves a shot though.

Or stops him in round five. I didn’t expect him to get the job done so early. Where was the chaos that Dubois promised? Usyk is just too good, it’s scary. He may as well retire now as no current heavyweight gets close to him.

      One of the greats.

Usyk is clearly way above everybody in this era which less face it is really weak.

He should retire. Nothing to prove.

There is absolutely no threat to him whatsoever. Only father time will catch up.

          Can see him retiring unbeaten.
Dubois just couldnÂ’t live with him.
Rocky Marciano the only heavy-weight to retire undefeated so it would be a hell of an achievement! He's absolutely a generational talent but the heavy-weight division is really poor at the moment and so through no fault of his own it's hard to see just how good he really is. But last nights display was absolutely brutal.

Agreed about Parker but he has no chance of beating him. Usyk comfortably on points or late stoppage

Although undefeated, It’s often said that Marciano was strategically managed in order to keep that record. I think he only had 6 or 7 world title fights, in contrast Ali defended his 19 times. When I was a kid it seemed as though Clay/Ali was fighting every 6 months.

there was definitely chaos, but it was all in Dubois corner.. his father shouting orders and just the general overall 'game plan'.

Yeah, what is it with British fighters and fathers that they and steal the limelight?

Dopey Daniel and his idiotic team thought they could get under Usyks skin in the build up. At one stage it was the Don Charles show, never seen a trainer with so much to say and why they kept giving air time to his son I don’t know.

Usyk is the people’s champ. What an ambassador for the sport of boxing and sports in general. Class in and out of the ring.

Can’t wait for Simon Jordan to eat some more humble pie tomorrow. Makes out he’s some kind of boxing oracle but yet another big fight prediction he’s got wrong.

Dubois has the punch to take anyone out. He just didn’t have the nous, speed or gameplan to take advantage of it. I really thought he was gonna do some damage last night, but he proved to be a damp squib,
Usyk is proving to be really special. It’s always impossible to compare sportsmen from different eras, so it’s impossible to compare him with great heavyweights of the past.
The best way to describe him, is he’s already one of the all time greats.

Being unable to speak English must be the prerequisite for joining his team.

I really wanted DD to beat Joshua and it was a career defining performance but it clearly went to his head and since then I don’t know what his promoter and team are playing at. Trying to create this broody character out of someone who is clearly on the spectrum and has no personality was never going to work.

In the last face off he actually looked scared and I don’t think he believed he could win. He tried to play mind games when he hasn’t got the smarts to do it and end up getting in his own head.

I liked that Usyk had no words of consolation for him this time. He tried to be a gentleman after the first fight and then had it thrown back in his face, so good on him for offering nothing this time.
