An honorary mention must go to 'Johnny Kwango'.
It was an era when there were very few black people involved in the sport/entertainment business.
He was a ballet dancer, an accomplished Jazz drummer and pianist and later appeared on stage and screen.
He used to take helluva beating against the ropes in the corner, I'd be thinking to myself "move away, do something" :hehe:
... then he'd do his trademark headbutt!
You could only imagine how racist places like Bately community centre or Macclesfield sports hall could be back then. But Johnny brought them onside, everyone was rooting for him to win. :thumbup:
