This is probably a really good thing, as if this site became flooded with bots it would very quickly become unusable.

Yeah but that's far less annoying than the place being overrun by bots.

I read recently about some small innocuous website where users would post crochet patterns or something like that, for other users to share.
then over a relatively short period the site became completely swamped by bots, posting completely non-sensical patterns that weren't possible to complete. and the whole place became unusable.
For what purpose? who knows?
