    Fantastic viewing.
    Still England's to lose.
Although India have had a long day in the field England will be happier with the rain/light stoppage.
That said, Siraj tearing in after a break they will not fancy.

Bethell should never be selected for England in the proper game again.

He has potentially lost this game by playing 20-20 cricket in a Test match.

He was 5 off about 35. He couldn't get it off the square, that's not t20!

Correction - a 20-20 shot. He could have gone on not getting it off the square until lunchtime tomorrow if he had avoided getting out by playing a useless cross-bat shot which was completely unnecessary.

And thereby opening the door for an unlikely India victory which now looks very possible.

What a series! 5 tests, all going 5 days.

Both sides and absolute clown show in the field but it's been brilliant. Fair play to England - it's got to the point where chasing down these huge totals is actually possible but bugger me do we give away some bizarre wickets.

Flatten the pitch, go out and bat competently for an hour and we should be home and dry but it's been gripping

              Ever heard of pressure?

Bethell looks exactly like a bloke that's played no cricket this summer. His, and Jamie Overton's selection (JO especially) are mental decisions.

England are very good at chasing down fourth innings targets and the speed they bat at gives them plenty of time to take twenty wickets even with an attack as poor as the one they selected for this game. However, it’s as if they believe they can only win one way and I can’t help thinking that if they want to take the next step on the way to being the best team in the world, they are going to have to be more adaptable. Bethel’s shot to get out was a pathetic one - it was as if he only has the one way to bat and he reacted to a degree of pressure that I would argue was quite common in test cricket by running down the wicket to a quick bowler and taking a horrible swipe thereby ramping up the pressure considerably on the batting to come.

England come out swinging at everything and score eight off the first two balls, but a nervous looking Smith goes without adding to his overnight two. Overton now out on an umpire’s call lbw, 354-8 with twenty needed.

Tongue given out lbw, but it’s shown to be missing by miles on review, England miss out on a leg bye as a result.

                        Huge crowd considering.
Siraj man of the series for me.

Edit: Tongue gone!! Woakes walking out, looking like he's just escaped from A&E :hehe:
                        What a finish.

Tongue bowled, he barely hit the ball in the 12 or so he faced - 17 needed with Woakes coming in to bat left handed.

They run a bye off the last ball of the over, so Atkinson still on strike - Woakes is really hurting just running though.
