  • Horrible.

    Police turned up next door, knocked on ours to ask about neighbour.
    They found his car, but he wasn't with it. Got into his house, no clues. Later found his body on Ogmore beach.

    That’s grim. I know 2 guys who have taken their own lives in the past 3 yrs. Both in their 50’s.

      Sorry to hear mate. I don’t know the details of this situation but a lot of people’s mental health, particularly mens is at an all time low.

      Pressures of social media, too much access to information about wars and other atrocities. I’ve been tempted to buy a dumb phone and go back to the days when ignorance was bliss.

        He had a breakdown last year, but I last saw him last Thursday, he seemed fine. He was in his late 60s.
        He has lived next door sine the 80s, first with his mum and sister, later his partner. IIRC, his mum died in the mid 90s, his partner died about 8 years ago, his sister died about 4 years ago. I had thought his mum was a widow, but the police think his dad is alive somewhere
