He was limping, I think it could be his knee and he looked absolutely distraught. It’s such a shame because he was playing really well, and we were excellent for the first thirty minutes or so. If we end up losing him and Tanner for months, it’ll be a huge blow. We definitely need four players in this week; the squad is far too thin right now. Trott’s a concern as well, but hopefully he’s alright.
It was a shame as he was playing really well when he went down injured ( another player benefitting from this new style). However he’s been injury blighted since he came here and playing this new high tempo style was probably always going to result in him being missing for a number of games , another reason we need additions to the squad
Turnbull has been plagued by injuries just before and since he signed for us. I wonder if this latest one will speed up the signing of Gyabi
Although, we are well stacked in midfield, Eli King despite impressing in preseason has not yet played. Furthermore the best two players in the U21's Twose and Perrett are both central midfielders. I'd expect at least one of them to start or play a part on Tuesday. King, Robertson + 1.

Yeah, I don’t think this one is too serious given the cover in that position and our upcoming games. Turnbull immediately sat on the bench when he came off so it’s likely a minor groin strain.
He’ll miss the home games against Plymouth and Burton but I wouldn’t be surprised if he was back involved on the 13th September at Stockport. The next game after that is Bradford at CCS on the 20th September, so there’s no pressure for Turnbull to be rushed back into the team.
Separately, I just checked Plymouth’s fixtures and they’ve got an awful journey to Swansea on Tuesday, then all the way back to the south coast, only to return to South Wales for our game on Saturday. Sod that!!
His performances remain ‘adequate’ at best. Maybe L1 is his standard though.
We need much more dynamic players than him. He still needs to contribute way more and some forward passing would be a start.
That's not what he's been asked to do. If you had someone like him, with dynamism, they'd be a top Champ player at the very minimum. He's been excellent this season and we are a much better side with him in it.
