I’m well aware of our history and how we got to enter the English system.
My point is, and always has been on this topic, that whilst a blind man can see how the standard of Scottish football has declined over the yrs, they play in their own country, and can still attract decent crowds especially the old firm.
Here in Wales, we simply couldn’t sustain ourselves if all Welsh clubs played in Wales.
    It would be dire.
We rely, and always will rely on England ( the country lots of City like to profess to hate in their chants), continually for our bread and butter. I know lots of our fans on here don’t likre to think of it that way, but never the less it’s true.

You did word it in a ‘cap in hand’ way to be fair. I fully agree with you about the anti English chants, bit pathetic but perhaps not as pathetic as singing the horrible Hymns ‘n’ Arias anti Swansea version when we’re playing the likes of Cheltenham & Luton.

If all Welsh clubs played in a Welsh league, could/would ourselves and the Jacks command a crowd and atmosphere similar to the Old firm Derby being played right now on SS1?
Might be viewed by many on here as a Mickey Mouse league, but there’s Micky mouse leagues, then there’s Minnie mouse leagues 😂

I thought this game would be worth watching. 30 minutes gone, not a single effort at goal from either side.

It’s been garbage so far. My point was about crowd attendances though. Both teams had woeful results earlier in the week in Europe, but still a full house today. We just wouldn’t match that in an all Welsh league.
Thank fu*k we were invited to the English league all those yrs ago eh ? 😁

Though we were invited to the Football League, the rebrand to the English Football League was in 2016/2017.
