  • Bellamy and Colwill

The Cardiff City captain Rubin Colwill leading by example his unbeaten team and scoring 4 goals so far and a number of assists is apparently “ close “ to making the senior Welsh squad. Is he “ close “ to Kai Andrews who spent last season on loan at Motherwell , plays for Coventry U21 and is listed on Trnsfermarket with a value of £250k and who has made it to the senior Wales squad?. I haven’t seen Andrews play but I must say that if Rubin is “ close” to him he must be some player or has Bellamy some peculiar agenda of his own?.

    They play in different positions

Ruben is up against Wilson Brooks James and Johnson.

Andrews is seen as competition for Ampadu's absence

Who cares, they're playing Kazakhstan and a friendly against Canada ffs. At a minimum Joel Colwill should've been called up as he is quite clearly the form player compared to Sheehan, Andrews and Crew. He'd be the form player if he was out of form, the others have barely played this season.

Rubin Colwill showed he can play deep against Villa in cup. It's a pathetic decision on Bellamy's behalf.

I think Andrews', Crew's, and Sheehan's selections are more indicative of our dire lack of depth in central midfield than a reflection on Rubin.

As others have suggested, Rubin is competing with Harry Wilson and David Brooks, who are rightly ahead of him.

Personally I think it's more harsh on Joel.

Either way, I'd rather Rubin rest up over the next two weeks than go to Kazakhstan and back to sit on the bench.
