After two games! The quickest sacking in Bundesliga history. It doesn't seem to matter what league you're talking about these days, the game is crazy wherever you are.

Re: Erik ten Hag sacked by Bayer Leverkusen
Jimmy, serious question, what your thoughts on Russell Martin?Originally posted by Jimmy the Jock View PostI did wonder why he took that particular job . He must have been super confident after the unprecedent success Xabi Alonso had with Leverkusen , then the main protagonists in the success were all sold off.
A poisoned chalice indeed.
New manager who needs time or long haired, liberal, wokey who should be binned off?

What does someone's political views have to do with their ability to run a football team? Bill Shankly was a life-long socialist. He did alright.Originally posted by Jordi Culé View PostJimmy, serious question, what your thoughts on Russell Martin?

Nothing NYC, I was trying to be sarcastic as I read somewhere some Rangers fans weren’t happy with his hair, vegan diet and general demeanour.Originally posted by NYCBlue View PostWhat does someone's political views have to do with their ability to run a football team? Granted that Rangers have generally been crap at football hasn’t helped.

I think you need to give him 3 months , some of the football going forward, earlier in the season was tremendous .Originally posted by Jordi Culé View PostJimmy, serious question, what your thoughts on Russell Martin?

He has got a bit of pedigree with the job he did at Milton Keynes , Swansea and to a degree Southampton they all played good football.
I doubt he would have survived had Celtic put 3 or 4 on us on Sunday . I watched it through my fingers . Thankfully Celtic are also dreadful right at this moment . Rodgers was honest for once in his life and admitted there aren't many more tunes to come out of his present squad .
Not all Rangers supporters are highly educated sophisticated gentlemen , I have done vegan , find vegetarian easier.......
From someone who has shaved his napper for years ,admire his mop.:hehe:
The Glasgow crowd can be a difficult one , the most vocal aren't always the heart and sole of the club ( look at Cardiff's message boards) they are just the most vocal .
Someone put a banner out on Sunday stating " get him gone before all the seats are empty " I thought putting that on the TV was a bit harsh , but thats the Glasgow pressure cooker , there is an element always baying for blood .
Time will tell if he has what it takes to survive. I'm in the juries out brigade.
I am back in Scotland 3 hours North of Glasgow ,so Rangers are going through a terrible time when I can go and see them , Cardiff however waited 40 years for my exit and are playing some lovely football with a team full of academy players , early days , but my £100 at 8-1 EW looks value :hehe:
I still have to come to Cardiff so will catch a game then.
Perhaps I should change my name to Jimmy The Jonah.....

He'll be a perfect fit for Forest Green Rovers should Robbie Savage get sacked.Originally posted by Jordi Culé View PostNothing NYC, I was trying to be sarcastic as I read somewhere some Rangers fans weren’t happy with his hair, vegan diet and general demeanour.

That with what he got from Man Utd…..10 million in the bank and barely worked…what a jobOriginally posted by NYCBlue View PostHe's on gardening leave. There's not much I wouldn't give to be in his position. £90k a week until they reach a multi-million pound settlement.

I'm not a fan of Martin, I think his philosophy takes precedence over pragmatism and common sense but there's a succession of coaches at Rangers who have been poor and I think Martin is carrying the can for some of their balls dropped.
I've said before to you how much I love Glasgow, great city and people. All the most vocal, deluded, drivel ridden old firm fans funnily enough seem to hail from somewhere else.
The match on Sunday was dreadful to watch.
You still doing the Munros Jim?
