they’ve got two genuinely world class players, that’s two more than us.

Rankings wise they are similar so not consistently better than us.

But as said they have Haaland who is undoubtedly world class and on his day can score at will. We don't have anyone anywhere near that. Odegaard also well beyond anything we have.

Then a squad littered with top European league regulars backing them up.

Even with Bale we often had to grind teams down and rely on some magic. Now we just have to better spread around any goals.

Unsurprisingly it is a bit of an outlier, previous two games were 1-0 wins over Estonia & Finland

They'll be real contenders to do well in the World Cup though, maybe a touch weak at the back but going forward they'll trouble anyone

Agreed and if teams are mostly worried about your attack then they will spend most of their time defending

Like we do against any side that scores a ton of goals

Our squad isn’t as strong as it used to be; the last real quality we had was when Bale and Ramsey were both fully fit. Since then, the overall standard has declined, but having a good manager now is helping to bridge that gap.
