What was it, 32m spent during the summer? I know it's early days yet, but being one place above the relegation zone is not exactly going to script (many of their fans thought it would be a two-season stay in the Championship, before stepping up to the Premier League).

Some of the comments on their forum...

"After a ridiculous spending spree, Moore is the only standout improvement all over the pitch in the Parkyhoof system, and we have no serious cover for him if he goes down since Parky dumped Ollie. Just imagine the utter shitshow now if Moore can't play."

"We have a real lack of pace throughout the team"

Lost 1-3 yesterday at home to QPR. Saw extended highlights, and the whole Wrexham team looked static; they couldn't handle QPR's pace.

Parkinson getting found out in the Championship.

I’ve got a few mates up in Wrexham and even when Parkinson took over in the National League they were very unimpressed with him.

Just momentum and better players have driven them up the leagues.

The Hollywood lads gonna have some big decisions to make soon.

Total rubbish..your mates support liverpool. :P Parky has been doing a great job and for a Cardiff City supporter to start on another teams manager takes the biscuit. Yes they have built a whole new team and that may take time to gel. Anyone thinking they would be top of the league at this point is clearly out of touch. Look at us last season. Early days yet for them and us.

Have they really spent 32 million? They had so many league 1 journeymen I guess they needed to invest some, but that’s a huge amount for such a small club….

No way is Parkinson a championship manager. He may have been able to dictate play for players like Ollie Palmer, Mullin and Elliot Lee. But, the players that are there now have done it in the championship.
Apparently Phil Jones was at the Racecourse yesterday

‘Parky’s enthusiasm’ is working wonders in the Championship.

Agree. Was thinking the same when reading some of these comments on here.

And they’ll spend the following two seasons waiting for his ‘trust in the process ‘ to deliver before fkg him off

The Championship might yet turn out to be a step too far for him as a manager but this is just reductive football fan nonsense

                          “Might yet turn out”?

I wouldn’t say it’s a surprise that Parkinson isn’t cut out for the Championship. He was sacked by Hull less than halfway through the season with them in the relegation zone.

His next club was Charlton, whom he saw relegated from the Championship.

At Bolton he avoided relegation with a win in the last game of the season.

I wouldn’t say he’s a bad manager and he’s had success in his career outside of Wrexham (most notably at Bradford) but he’s been managing for 24 years and has never had any success at this level.

There’s a reason it was a National League club ringing his agent and not a Championship one.

Won’t take much for Wrexham to go on a bit of a run, once their new signings start to gel. The Championship standard is shite anyway. Just look at the “Big Derby” game today. Piss poor.
Just a few bitter City fans on here willing them to fail.

I’m not sure about that, it’s like we have no rivalry at all with them, never really had. Not even on the radar for the last 25 years. Many who follow wales away will have bonded with Wrexham fans over the years as they always follow their country, unlike some clubs fans we know so well…..
