My best shot is a 50 yard putt off the green on the top of a hill, attempting a set-up shot. Ended up sinking it for a birdie. I felt like prime Tiger Woods.

Crowd very subdued. The few crackpots still yelling are echoing around the joint.

        Re: Ryder Cup

This has just been posted on the BBC Ryder Cup page by their correspondant.
        "Anyone fancy walking this gauntlet?

This is the tight track between the 11th green and 12th tee where noise - somewhat vitriolic - rains on the European players.

Last time I felt this ferocity close to this was Cardiff away as a Leeds United fan. No coins being lobbed here thankfully."

Anyone else think this is a very easy course for a Ryder Cup or do they prefer -11 plays -10 for events like this?

            Edit:
I suppose the thinking is the more birdies, the more opportunities to get the crowd up and intimidate the opposition.
            Its doing the opposite.

Globally, it’s always ranked in the top 10 toughest and in the US, it’s ranked in the top 3 and they’ve narrowed it for this event!

Dechambeau, what a tool trying to intimidate Fleetwood and Rose. 3 down with 3 to play... should have tried it an hour ago!

He moved like he was going into the crowd and the caddie held him back. Then he did the sensible thing and called the stewards over, pointed to the person who was heckling Rory who was stood on the tee and they removed that person from the course.

Honestly couldn’t mix this lot up with any kind of sportsmanlike behaviour

                      Re: Ryder Cup

Hatton and Fitzpatrick win the final match on the last hole and snuff out any possible momentum the US might have had to cling to.

What a couple of days golf, 11.5 points the best ever!

3 points from 12 needed tomorrow.
                      Incredible stuff.

                        It's the Trump effect.

Just not used to having away fans at their sports either. Unnerves them.

Just sitting down now to watch the highlights on iplayer, happy in the knowledge that the American team has just been given a right pasting. More of the same tomorrow....hopefully.

All I know is you’ve got to go miles astray to get in serious trouble from the tee, there’s a par 3 that reminds me of the pitch and putt I used to play on at Llandaff Fields and some of the pin positions were very easy for players this good. I think that, barring a complete European collapse today, Keegan Bradley’s going to face some serious criticism for how he set the course up.
