Hopefully with a bit of tweaking it'll come good. Let's be clear, we don't really have any poor players - they can have bad games but it doesn't make them sh!t.
I think Robinson, J Colwill, and maybe Davies will start the next game, or does he give the same players a chance to put Tuesday right?

      Re: Salech

Good comments from BBM. Don't worry about the ref; concentrate and improve your runs to be in the best goal-scoring positions.

BBM - "The minute we get into talking about referees, we go away from things that we can control.

So for Yousef Salech the focus has to be on his movements which are very specific to him and exceptional.

He has to be aware of what defenders are doing to stop him. A lot of the time that's prolonged dragging and holding which is against the rules and a big thing about this season is that wouldn't happen but it is happening to him.

Our focus is for him to avoid that and get out of the space of defenders when the ball is coming to him. He did that Tuesday night and the goal was disallowed.

But we can't plan for that error from the referee. We can only work on Yousef's movement being so good, so often. And working with Chris Willock to have the right timing of the cross as it was on Tuesday night, which was perfect. And to have that with all the players so deciding when they're going to move and the timing of the pass.

My concern is if he does think he's doing something wrong and moves away from what he does best, and try and plan for something that we don't think is beneficial to him. Our focus is to have him in dangerous positions in the box where we know he's at his most capable, the same with Callum Robinson and Isaak Davies.

Then having our players find the most efficient way to serve him, that won't change over the course of the season."

Shouldn't the captains keep pointing out the dragbacks and shirt pulls to the ref every time so they eventually feel the pressure to give a penalty?

Extremely wishful thinking if he’s expecting Salech to have the movement not to be in arms way of a defender playing in a very low block and a packed box.

Reading between the lines, he's saying to just get on with it, find a way around the problem, i think it's a more general message to his players. I may be wrong, although i like it. Control the stuff you can control and put all of your energy in to that. I like BBM's attitude, he hasn't bigged up players either, because from where i'm sitting, he expects more out of them, no matter who old or young they are. I hate excuses, so this is right up my street.

I get the general message but it’s not an excuse to blame the referee in this instance is it? The decision to disallow a perfectly good goal was a diabolical decision.

Ashford, as Blue Army says. I don't think he's been given his own thread yet but it's coming. Some guys behind me last night were screaming at him that he was rubbish, I was thinking they had to be posters on here.
You do realise the total membership of this MB makes up less than 1% of our home attendance.

                Fair do’s that’s quite a refreshing take.

I was, yes, but they were so over the top all game they'd certainly feel at home on here. Me and my lad were in stitches.

One guy had been shouting 'SHOOOOOT' at the top of his voice every time we got within about 25 yards of goal. In injury time, Nyakhuwa fired in a shot from the edge of the box which got blocked and the guy screamed at him 'WHAT DID YOU SHOOT FROM THERE FOR?'. Not a great 90 minutes on the pitch but we didn't lack for entertainment.

We do have some beauties amongst our fans, that's for sure. I reckon it's about demeanour with Ashford, we've seen it in the past with other players. He can look non plussed, doesn't show much emotion. When things aren't going well for him, then i suppose some people find it easier to have a go at him. I really like him as a player.

That’s the problem with all seater stadiums. If your sat near a few zooma’s , then you’re probably sat near them all season.
At least with terracing, you could move about and protect your sanity 😁

That's true, maybe his demeanour gives people the impression he's not engaged or doesn't care. The couple of times I saw him at youth level he just sauntered around with this bad boy walk off the ball. I thought he must've been injured at first but when the ball came to him he'd suddenly come alive and show what he could do.

He works hard now though, he's certainly not a player I'd have a go at even if it wasn't going his way. BBM obviously rates him and will hopefully find a way of getting any doubters off his back soon. With hindsight I'd have given him a bit of time with Kpakio the other night, Kellyman was no improvement out there.

We've had some real zingers by us over the years, at Ninian Park and the CCS. It's a bit like Jasper Carrott's Nutter on the Bus sketch from back in the day, they always find us.

Less than 1% of the attendance, but an estimated 70% of the moaning.
