  • Shoot more says Vincent

Barry-Murphy revealed after the win in north Wales that owner Vincent Tan had urged his side to register more shots on target. When asked about their post-match conversations, though, the Bluebirds head coach said he understands where Tan is coming from.

"He is going to ask you why and you have to be ready for it - and I think that's fine," Barry-Murphy said of his talks with Tan.

"I was very pleased with the way we responded to Saturday. Our attacking play was much better.

"Having Cian Ashford back fully fit was really important - we didn't give the ball away in the final third and his combination play with Rubin and the relationship between Omari, Joel and Ronan - helped us sustain attacks in the final third and create better chances.

"Having Cian back and fully fit was a big benefit for us."

I don't think Trott has had one shot yet

Very disappointing and something he'll need to work on

Good to see in his nearly decade and a half of owning a football club Tan has picked up the nuances of the game

You know, if he was talking about the Bolton game, he actually has a point. Problem was creation that game more than anything though.

It's not the first time he has urged them to shoot more often. Didn't he comment about David Marshall not shooting years ago?

For once. I think I agree with him. I think.

Anyone who has seen us play this season would say we need to shoot more. At times we appear to want to walk the ball into the net. Sometimes you just need to put the ball into the mixer. Only Plymouth home seems like we were encouraged to shoot and we got some deflected goals as a result.

                      That’s an ecumenical matter

"You miss 100% of the shots you don't take" - Vincent circa 2021

To be fair, if I was bankrolling a football team for a fortune every month I'd probably want to see more shots while I was watching too
