I certainly think that we would have been better off with Fish.

It was a ridiculous game which we dominated for the most part.
Their keeper made some outstanding saves and we also squandered some chances.
We were also opened right up on the counter very early in the game.

Madley didn’t give us anything as per usual and I honestly thought that we played with intent, it just didn’t happen for us.

Frustrating as heck but as absurd as it sounds… I think that we were by far the better team.

We criticise when we hang around on half way and donÂ’t take the game to a team intent on keeping us out then we criticise when we get caught on the break. If we are to lose, and 7 of the top 8 did today, IÂ’d rather it be in this fashion than the Bolton version.
We were treated to the ‘found out’ comments after we lost to Burton which was the most one sided game I can remember in years. I guess the best way to go is trying to outscore the opposition as our defence isn’t all that.

Our defence was fine until BBM started pissing about with it.
Chambers shouldn’t be in the back 4.

I was surprised Wintle didn't start. I thought Chambers did OK. I don't know whose idea it was to play such a high line, but it backfired badly. I don't really buy into the whole "found out" thing. Managers plan for each game depending on who the opposition is. And these days there is more information than there ever has been to plan for. However, for all of our quality it seems to me that something is wrong. We move the ball so quickly and so instinctively until we get to the opposition area, then we run out ideas and it slows to walking pace giving the opposition time to set up, crowd the area. We make things more difficult for ourselves by making it easy for the opposition to make things difficult for us. I don't get what we're trying to do. At the moment it seems like the process is more important than the result.

Seems we have too great an expectation from such a young, inexperienced side and young Manager. Potential is there but will take a little time.

Bit harsh on Chambers I'd say. But have a look at R Colwill for the Blackpool effort that hit the post and their second goal. Pathetic.

I'd rather lose like this than the performance at Bolton.

Just need to find that clinical edge but looked far better going forward in general.

Looking through some comments on social media is always amusing, were shit when we lose with plenty of chances and shit when we win but in large parts dominated by reading and orient.

I think as the season goes on it's increasingly unrealistic to expect dominant wins like against Rotherham.

It's going to be a scrap for the play offs and maybe we can do better but maybe not. It will depend if the club can be bothered providing playing investment in January to give competition in key areas.

Perhaps once or twice during a season there is a game that spoils my weekend. This was the game. I am seriously cheesed off and hell to live with.
I was only able to watch parts because of a dodgy stream, but from what I saw of the first half, our football was at times, little short of brilliant, with our lack of a goal, caused by a combination of goal keeping heroics, last ditch defence and wasteful finishing and trying too be over elaborate near goal.
Clearly Evitt saw our high line and in the 2nd half instructed his team to take full advantage, which they did.
How you solve the dilemma of playing attacking football, but not at the expense of a solid defence, I am not qualified to say, however BBM definitely needs to get his back 2 and no 6 right. If he can it will be back to our early season form and results.
