    For those that missed it:

Fixture to be played w/c Dec 1st

Cardiff City will host League One rivals AFC Wimbledon in the first knockout round of the EFL Trophy after winning their group thanks to Tuesday's victory over Arsenal Under-21s.

The Bluebirds beat Exeter City to top spot in Southern Group A despite boss Brian Barry-Murphy deploying numerous young players in the competition.

Cardiff's reward is a round of 32 meeting with a Wimbledon side they beat 1-0 at the Cherry Red Records Stadium in the third tier in August.

As one of the group winners, Cardiff were guaranteed a home tie in the regionalised draw.

AFC Wimbledon finished second in Southern Group E behind Stevenage.

Johnnie Jackson's team are seventh in League One, a point and three places behind Cardiff.

If he plays the under 21s as he has said he would, there's no way we win this game if Wimbledon put out a strong side.

If he does, it would be criminal.
The romantic thing to do versus the sensible thing to do.
