Re: Bel v Wal U21
Lots of Cardiff past and present involved.
Giles, and Ashford starting and Mafico and Nyakuhwa on the bench
Former Cardiff players are Lewys Benjamin, Charlie Crew and Gabriele Biancheri starting and Chris Popov on the bench
that's 8 players in the 19 man squad - not bad going

Did Wales Lose? It doesn't really matter anyway. A fair few of them won't even be in the Professional game in a few years time, If three or four of them become regular Senior side players then it's served it's purpose i suppose. Ican't get enthused over age group internationa football, although everyone id different as there is no Blueprint to being a football fan.Originally posted by The Lone Gunman View PostThis appears to be a terrible result.

They lost 3-0. Now 5th of 5 in the qualifying group.

Re: Bel v Wal U21
That's a really poor result, supposedly talented group stuck to the bottom of their group after 4 games
Watched the first half and they looked totally disjointed, Biancheri totally isolated up front
Youth football results are a strange one, but many of these players were in the squad that qualified for back to back Euros beating the likes of Poland & Belgium
But then again you look at it in a development way and you've got a fair few u21s in the senior squad already. If a few more of these make it as first team players then who cares about a defeat to Belarus in November 2025?

It's a good example, yes. Some people are interested, some aren't. You can't get enthused about it, you've even said that people who are interested in youth football are weird. Yet here you are.Originally posted by Tuerto View PostDid Wales Lose? It doesn't really matter anyway. I largely agree with your opening comments though, that's the reality of it. I'd imagine there's a huge amount of pride involved for players and families alike when they break into the international set-up, I wouldn't belittle it. It's just more expectations to be managed somewhere down the line for most though.

you are correct a lovely feeling having Welsh caps and jerseys hung on the wall in your house when a family member represents Wales at any sport . my lads futsal international caps from the Welsh FA means so much money can't buy itOriginally posted by Loramski View PostIt's a good example, yes. If Elon suddenly woke up and knew he needed Mozzers son's match worn cap , would you sell it for a million?Originally posted by MOZZER2 View Postyou are correct a lovely feeling having Welsh caps and jerseys hung on the wall in your house when a family member represents Wales at any sport . my lads futsal international caps from the Welsh FA means so much money can't buy it
