That’s the only game from 75/76 I could find a video for when I did my book on that season and it was probably the worst result of the whole campaign as Colchester were relegated.

What about the MoD game v Brighton Paul. lost 1-0 at home Alston tried a shot from kick off. That should be available somewhere.

Never come across a video of it Spedger - there’s nothing on You Tube or, if there is, I’ve been unable to find it.

            My first ever game.
My old man was a copper so we got let in by one of his mates, and didn't bother queuing at the turnstiles.

There's no footage of Tony Villars goal
against Palace that I know of.

Would love to see that again, I was in the old enclosure that night, what an electric atmosphere. The Brighton game was memorable for me, Alston shooting from the halfway line at kick off and the ball bouncing over the crossbar later in the game.

I remember it being on. Wales Today the day after the game and I'm pretty sure there was an interview with an absolutely gutted Malcolm Allison, but nearly all of our home games were filmed by the local news channels in those days and it looks like hardly any of them have survived. One that I've seen somewhere in recent years is our 4-1 win over Huddersfield in 1973 I think it was that kept us up at theor expense.

The reason is that film was so expensive then, that it was routinely re-used.

                      Makes sense.
