If there was a combined Celtic nations football team, who would get in it at the moment?

    Re: Celtic nations

Dunno, but it's all a bit mad. Literally a month or so ago Scotland got booed off. Rep Ireland were going nowhere and we were umming and aahing about whether Wales were alright or shit. Northern Ireland were and are doing okay, and Scotland, Rep Ireland and Wales have put in three of their best performances in years.

England and Scotland qualified and Rep and Northern Ireland in the play offs alongside us. When was the last time all five nations got this close to a world cup?!

And apologies to not answer the question, but hopefully it helps set it up 😃.

Great question... this is a team that are mostly regulars at Prem teams or major foreign clubs. Very likely I have missed one or two.

        Kelleher (Ireland)
        Bradley (Northern Ireland)
        Collins (Ireland)
        O'Brien (Ireland)
        Robertson (Scotland)
        McTominay (Scotland)
        McGinn (Scotland)
        Wilson (Wales)
        Brooks (Wales)
        Johnson (Wales)
        Ferguson (Ireland)

Bradley seems to have taken over the right back position at Liverpool this season. Each of the other 3 teams have areas of strengths, the Scots have 3 central midfielders we'd kill for, Ireland have a very solid group of center backs and we are strong in the attacking midfield area.

wouldn't argue much with that team although I think I'd go for Dan Ballard as one of the centrebacks and, after his exploits this week, should Troy Parrott be leading the attack?

Yeah I did consider that… given that Ferguson has been injured and Parrott has been scoring for fun, definitely a case you can make.
