Fish isn't good enough in possession in my opinion to play at the highest level.

In today's game undoubtedly a centre back but in old parlance a no6, supporting the centre half but with the ability to take the ball forward and not simply defend.

I think he's underrated with the ball

some interesting stats regarding Joe Rodon's pass rate during his last 7 games for Wales . On first reflection 97% pass rate is incredible at the highest level but I think when you dig into the weeds just looking at the graph itself when you pass against a low block team passes are always going to go sideways more than forwards . I would say Belgium were an exemption to this

Let's be honest, international football isn't the highest level. Very far from it.

Spot on. Lawler and Fish is still our best pairing

With Kpakio and Bagan our best fullbacks.
It would be great if they could stay together as a back 4 (or 5 with Trott) for a few years and all grow together.

I thought Bagan would be a weak link for us this season, as I never had him down as anything more than a back-up player, but he's done really well. A bit predictable in possession at times but really dependable overall. Doesn't have the same ceiling that we are currently imagining for the other 3, but he's done very well this season.

He's body mature as well, which is a big help. I can't say what he's like when he is turned or facing the 'Wrong' way. Ampadu is great with the game in front of him, not so good when he's turned or the play is condensed in a defensive third. There are similarities between the two in my opinion.
Ampadu & Lawlor would be an interesting defensive pairing.

A number of people have commented but on different attributes, actually, are all part of his game.

I’ll throw in another- he reminds me of Bobby Moore more than anyone else. Always in the right place, has great feet, keeps it simple and, creates room for his next pass and virtually always gets it right. Watch, as soon as he receives the ball he lifts his head, scans the options and moves it.

For someone who’s had more years than he’s played first team games, his future limitless.

How many first team games did Ramsey play before Arsenal came in for him and scuppered Man U’s plans?

Just realised, probably a low percentage of people on here will have ever seen Bobby Moore play - even on tv!
