Any other day Chambers or Bagan would get the MOTM award, but Trott is just on another level, great signing and I hope we can keep him next season

Now i don't want to be a debbie downer but it's all well and good stopping shots but if he can't score 10-15 per season what's the point?

Agreed that Fish was bossed by Wheatley but just sometimes you have to acknowledge how good the other guy was, for me,that was the case here,Wheatley looks a class above this league and could go on to have a more than decent career at a higher level.

Marshall certainly contributed more to city overall, but I reckon that was due to longevity, and him making important saves on big occasions. Trott I think would nick it in a comparison of key keeper attributes (better reflexes, better with the ball at his feet, better thrower) - it's close though!

Not to discredit Trott but I think we do have to acknowledge that whilst he's playing phenomenally well and is just as responsible as any other player for us being top of the league, that league is in fact league 1. The ability of players to finish chances is staggeringly bad in this division, Marshall never had that luxury. Pretty sure he was in the team of the season despite us get relegated in our first Premier League stint.

Don't think it's a particularly reliable or credible source, but it's being reported that Cardiff and Copenhagen are struggling to "get a deal agreed" for him to join permanently.

Not really sure how that works as I thought they'd already agreed an option to buy; assumably, that included an agreed-upon fee.

Or maybe it didn't and that's why they signed Harry Tyrer in January (who came here very highly regarded)?

Or maybe it's all a load of bollocks and he'll be here next year.

                    Re: Nathan Trott

As long as we stick to the initially agreed loan to buy terms surely he's as good as our player

                      Re: Nathan Trott

Pete o rourke who is pretty much spot on with his info claims Trott is being scouted by a number of current championship clubs . Some claim his wage demands are far too high for us to sign on a perm basis

personally think he would be a great signing

Still have to then agree personal terms with player I suspect but you'd presume this would be something that was pre-agreed with player & club.

Marshall was much better, he became a Premier League Keepr but Trott is decent.

Trott is a fine keeper and is certainly in the running for Player of the Season. I for one hope we sign him this summer and he stays for a prolonged period. Its been an excellent season for him.

However, David Marshall kept his standards up for the entire period (8 seasons) he was at City so he would be the best keeper I've seen at City during my 65+ years.

David Marshall has to be my all time favourite, closely followed by Andy Dibble
Obviously not aware of the inner workings and offers to the player, but I hope we sign Trott
I’m sure they’ll be someone here who can work out exactly how many points he’s saved us so far this season
