Re: Liverpools under carriage
I wonder if DJ20's spirit playfully tickled Van Dijks armpits last night causing him to go all Michael Jackson and raise his arm in the air?Originally posted by the other bob wilson View Post
Diogo Jota's passing has undoubtedly had a personal effect on some of the players but professionally I doubt every goal conceded, defensive cock up is because they're grieving during a game?
Perhaps they're just crap?

That's what I tend to think, but I'd not heard that about Robertson's reaction to Scotland qualifying for the World Cup before and it got me wondering if there might be something to it.Originally posted by Jordi Culé View PostI wonder if DJ20's spirit playfully tickled Van Dijks armpits last night causing him to go all Michael Jackson and raise his arm in the air?

Re: Liverpools under carriage
Lots of media pundits saying Liverpool would be certs for the premier league again if they landed Isak. Quite funny watching them fail.Originally posted by fingers View PostLet's be honest, when Liverpool won the Premiership last season it was with Klopp's team. This season, after spending 400m+, Slot's been found out.

Re: Liverpools under carriage
Yesterday I heard two blokes in Morrisons talking earnestly about Liverpool, their tactics, players etc. Of course every sentence started with "We". Everyone is entitled to follow whoever they want but 'taking ownership' of a successful club they probably have zero connection with is particularly galling. Made even worse because I dislike Liverpool FC more than any other club.

I watched the Kenny Dalglish documentary last week which was interesting as I didn't realise how much he did for Liverpool, the community after Hillsborough. It obviously took it out on him emotionally as he felt responsible, he attended every victims funeral.Originally posted by the other bob wilson View PostThat's what I tend to think, but I'd not heard that about Robertson's reaction to Scotland qualifying for the World Cup before and it got me wondering if there might be something to it.
Liverpool won the league in 1990.

Re: Liverpools under carriage
As much as I can’t stand them I don’t think it’s all on him, salah was playing for a contract last season, he got a huge one and has gone back to average, the guy next to van dyk in defence is out if his depth, they got rid of two ok strikers and signed some expensive stinkers.i don’t know why they bothered wasting so much cash, really they just needed Guehi and I reckon they’d have been better than last season.Originally posted by fingers View PostLet's be honest, when Liverpool won the Premiership last season it was with Klopp's team. Obviously lost Jota too which must have had a huge impact.

Re: Liverpools under carriage
Ownership was right to want to move on from Salah to be fair, got talked into keeping him because of the fan backlash, but his game looks like it's going to fall off really quickly as he loses his pace. He's showing even less inclination to work for the team and defend than he has in the past to boot.
Of course given they spent $450m on players who have looked absolute garbage they wouldn't have replaced him properly, but that doesn't change the fact that he's increasingly becoming a bit part player.

I mean, fans of every club do it too when talking in relation to their club of choice.Originally posted by Moodybluebird View PostYesterday I heard two blokes in Morrisons talking earnestly about Liverpool, their tactics, players etc. Of course every sentence started with "We". This. Their way of playing has been found out and Slot isn't good enough to solve the problem. The rate of decline is what has really taken me by surprise.Originally posted by fingers View PostLet's be honest, when Liverpool won the Premiership last season it was with Klopp's team. I don't doubt that the circumstances have had an effect on the dressing room but I don't think it's the root cause whatsoever.
