In a nutshell he's a thick narcissistic entitled amoral psychopath who is both using others and simultaneously being used for mutual gain. In his case it's for grifting and gaining ever more wealth and maybe for him an ever more important reason which is getting to cosplay his egotistical superiority trip.

For his minders and enablers the gain is using his popularity to warp democracy and fashion a white supremacist domain to satisfy elite greed and facilitate obscene wealth and status for the fortunate few.
