Just to say that I know it’s not the BBC, but I bet it’s a mistake some of its growing legion of fans will make in their attempts to blame the Beeb for everything and get the Corporation closed down.

As far as the cricket goes, can they continue with Snicko in this series? Jonathan Agnew was saying that one of the match referees in the series was saying that there was concern among the match officials about Snicko before this incident. It’s a very odd one because it cannot be anything else but an edge looking at the video, but I can fully understand why the decision was not out.

I can’t. As you said it could not have been anything else. Before they’ve admitted mistake this morning, I thought picture and sound out of sync. Seemed the obvious explanation. And I’m not just being a smart arse - honest!! It just shouldn’t happen, and not just because it has gone against England. With technology so advanced how can they screw it up because he chose the wrong set of stumps to take the sound from!!
