Tan has led us a (not so) merry dance during his tenure. When to sell may be one of his biggest, if not the, decisions to date. There is now a clear direction under BBM and a togetherness of manager, team & fans for the first time in a while. Hopefully he sees progress at last and won’t grab a quick profit.

For what it’s worth we have a lot of developing players, none of the younger players are the finished article & IMHO, they’re better off staying with the club rather than benchwarming elsewhere.

I’m not sure any of our ‘youngsters’ are much likely to progress above championship standard therefore the sums that are involved are unlikely to be worth the sale. Lawlor is probably the exception but given his propensity for errors at such a low level of football, in amongst his decent displays, lower premier league teams looking for backup might be the likeliest route for the time being.

This. I don't think we will sell if we go up. The players will see their careers progressing and will look forward to being in the championship (and presumably more money).

Don't go up and the players by definition aren't as good as we think anyway.

All of this remains to be seen how it plays out, but I never felt relegation would be a disaster in the long term. If we go up, then I think it may prove to have been in the long term good of the club. The young players coming through, crowds up if anything, real demand for away tickets, winning games and playing well, the enthusiasm of the cup run. We all know this is the most enjoyable season for years don't we?

One hundred percent. He will tell them, don't be daft and move, there are hundreds of more talented players at Man City and alike that will never make it because they made the mistake that you won't be making, and that is, going to a big club too early.

They'll trust him and want to stay, feeling it's far better for their development.

We're no more a selling club than anyone else at this level. I don't expect anyone to leave in January. And if we get promoted, I think barring ridiculous offers from EPL clubs, the squad will remain close to as-is.

I’ll be very surprised if and when someone is sold to a bigger club than us that we will be in a position to dictate when we will sell them. If a bigger club is absolutely determined to sign someone like Lawlor they’ll put in a bid that we won’t be able to turn down.

As to when that bid comes, I’ll be surprised if any of our youngsters who have been featuring regularly in the first team leaves In January, but not at all shocked if one or more of them goes in the summer.

I think at this stage of the season the word sell should be anathema. We need to gain promotion; the only sensible option is to buy and strengthen the squad. Selling can be postponed for another day, season, set of circumstances.

What youngsters are you referring to specifically?

I think that should be clarified, because some are clearly more potentially valuable than others. I also suspect some of them might not be quite as young in football terms as you believe.
