Superb today I thought. Eight out of ten at least when it’s hard to think of anyone else who was better than six out of ten.

Re: Wintle.
Yeah, Lawlor was the one I thought of as a possible seven, also thought Osho did pretty well.Originally posted by Crisp White Lines View PostHe’s found a good run of form. Long may it continue.
Lawlor learned a lot today against a good opponent in Onyedinma.
He did pretty well in the circumstances, so I’d give him 7.

Re: Wintle.
If Wintle can start doing in two/three touches what he does in five or six, he'll be a really, really good player for us.Originally posted by the other bob wilson View PostSuperb today I thought. Eight out of ten at least when it’s hard to think of anyone else who was better than six out of ten.
He's in very good form though and we should be looking to tie him, Bagan and Ng down asap.

Re: Wintle.
Salech shows great ability with his head when trying to find team mates (e.g. the one to Isaak Davies for his goal against Huddersfield and the two yesterday), but he's not as good when he's heading at goal, he missed another quite easy headed chance yesterday and I'm wasn't surprised to read somewhere recently that his xg figure is above his actual goals scored one - he has missed quite a few great chances with both head and feet this season.Originally posted by BlueArmy 86 View PostWintle and lawlor came out with credit.
I thought Salech and Turnbull when he came on were decent as well. Salech out two chances on a plate in the 6 yard box..

Re: Wintle.
Pretty much the point I've been arguing all season. It's hard to convince folk with the premiss that we should try and improve on a striker who is the leading scorer in the Division, but I stick by my view ; he's slow and cumbersome on the ground, and not very good in the air. We were decidedly average yesterday, but if we had just taken one more of our decent chances then that would have been 2 more points. Promotion by Easter if our striking rate was as good as our general play, don't strengthen in this area and we could miss out on automatic promotion..Originally posted by the other bob wilson View PostSalech shows great ability with his head when trying to find team mates (e.g. the one to Isaak Davies for his goal against Huddersfield and the two yesterday), but he's not as good when he's heading at goal, he missed another quite easy headed chance yesterday and I'm wasn't surprised to read somewhere recently that his xg figure is above his actual goals scored one - he has missed quite a few great chances with both head and feet this season.

Re: Wintle.
One of my least favourite players in the Championship, but wether it’s this league, our style or the BBM factor, he’s made himself a real contender for POT season, he’s certainly been one of our most consistent playersOriginally posted by Rock_Flock_of_Five View PostThere's almost never a time during a game when you'll see Wintle standing still, or walking even.
He covers every blade of grass, but with purpose.
I criticised him a lot during our Championship tenure, I believed rightly so at the time. However, he's flourishing at the moment.
Fair Play to him
