  • Sean Morrison - Under the cosh.

I think there may have been a thread on this earlier, so apologies if you’re aware of this already, but I only came across it today - it’s hilarious in places and I’ll see Russell Slade in a completely different light from now on.

Started watching it after hearing it mentioned on VFTN earlier.

    Good listen, some funny stories.

It's a shame the Slade stuff didn't come out at the time, think he would have been seen in a different light although still a difficult time for the club. He sounds hilarious.

Can I be a bit old fashioned and mention how many F words were used

Couple of really big takeaways from this here.

Particularly bringing in players that don’t want to be in this country in the first place

And secondly as it’s not a commuter club, does that again factor into who we can sign.

We really could have done with a prime Morrison over the last few years.

Yes of course, there's a limited distance you could reasonably allow someone to commute in from and it won't cover many other clubs. It will always be easier for clubs in London or the midlands where players can go from club to club and barely have to move if they don't want to.

Why we have signed quite a few ex Bristol City players over the years.

On the flip side it helps build more of a camaraderie with team mates (as mentioned by him) and an affinity to the area where it seems quite a few ex players stay local.

I reckon the "pub player" that he says Warnock referred to is Bobby DeCordova Reid.

Was the pub he played in the Kings Castle?

If it's Decordova-Reid, the guy played 130 odd times and scored 16 goals in the Prem while we never made it back, so doesn't really say much about his judgement does it.

If it's the promotion season then I reckon Omar Bogle is a good shout, red card in the Bristol derby and loaned out shortly after?
                            Still playing for Crewe.

I don't reckon even Warnock would have the balls to say that to Callum's face.

Morrison said that the player in question had contributed with quite a few goals that season.

He also said he couldn't remember if it was the promotion season or the Prem season.
