  • Elsewhere yesterday...

A gala day for Oxford United in the Championship. Not only did they win away at Leicester but Mark Harris scored a goal! Extraordinary scenes. Meanwhile, Oli McBurnie scored against Swansea for the second time this season as Hull beat the Jacks 2-1, and Wrexham moved into the play-off places with a 3-2 victory at QPR.

In League One, Joe Ralls lasted just 9 minutes of Plymouth’s 1-0 victory over ominous Luton Town. He was forced off with a hamstring injury which was described by Argyle manager Tom Cleverley as ‘very worrying’.

In League Two, Callum Paterson scored a hat-trick as MK Dons smashed Shrewsbury 5-1. It was the first treble of Paterson’s career and his second goal was his 100th in first team football. Curtis Nelson also played for the Dons, while Tom Sang scored Shrewsbury’s consolation.

Sadly, it was a bad day for Merthyr Town in the National League North. They conceded a 94th minute goal at Southport to lose 1-0 while South Shields scored a 98th minute equaliser at Marine to extend their lead at the top of the table to six points.

I think Newport's rare win deserves a mention. 2-1 at home to Chesterfield.
They are still in the relegation places, but have moved off last place.

I was going to mention it, but I didn't want to tread on Loramski's toes as his loan watch report was undoubtedly incoming.

That rathbone goal for Wrexham is the kind of stuff we lack at times. The will to shoot.

He seemed a to have a difficult start there but has been playing well lately by all accounts. The Blades are a bizarre side this season though. Very inconsistent and just two draws all season.

Mark Harris' winner has cost Marti Cifuentes his job. Leicester sacked him this afternoon.
