I know it wasn't just shirt pulling. But I was responding directly to a comment about shirt pull... Oh, forget it.

    :hehe:

I spoke to Joel Colwill yesterday, he said that Stockport players left their feet in after challenges ,elbows here and there etc , they were the same in the first game.

I don’t think they are a dirty side per se ,they just modified their approach because it was us they were playing.

A pretty disappointing game really. We would get into some promising positions but the final pass was always just behind the player or Stockport would get a foot in - perhaps that's down to Stockport's pressing game putting pressure on us in possession.

Pity Salech went off as I thought he was getting the better of their defenders fairly regularly in the first 20 minutes - Robinson didn't threaten as much, although we didn't seem to adjust our game plan at all, continued to put crosses into the box with nobody there to win them.

I thought Stockport were pretty disappointing for a side that's challenging for promotion. They battled well, but surely you have to have a bit more about you than that to be in the playoffs?

I've not seen it back, but I think their goal was pretty fortunate that the ball just broke to their player in acres of space from a challenge - it happens, but apart from that I don't really remember them doing much with the ball.

An elbow in the back of the head which leaves a player poleaxed for 15 mins and taken to a&e for a checkup I'm ok with. Tug a shirt and I'm going to be really annoyed.
