Clear penalty for me . We have had 1 penalty all season joint bottom of the penalty table . The most pens teams have in League 1 are Luton with 7 and Stockport with 6 .

Re: Yesterday's "Penalty"
Clearest penalty I've seen in a long time, then went down the other end and didn't give Burton a free kick outside the area for an equally obvious foul to even it up. Another very poor ref, probably even more notable in the step down in quality from Champ to League One is how awful the officiating has been.

They say the camera never lies. However, I'd prefer to analyse a slowed-down recording of the penalty claim, rather than a still photo.Originally posted by The Lone Gunman View Post
Where the defender's boots were, a split second earlier, would have shed more light on the incident.

A penalty appeal that makes it onto the highlight reel hints that the Sky TV editors also think it was a stonewall penOriginally posted by IanD View Posthttps://www.skysports.com/football/v...one-highlights
Stonewall penalty. Have a look (for the best angle) at 30 to 32 secs.
Either that or the he game was devoid of any other exciting incident

Re: Yesterday's "Penalty"
Yes, unusual Sky include a penalty appeal. They didn't include our very nearly third goal when no-one was there to tap in. There was a camera in the stand to our right that should have caught the simulated foul that led to the free kick/equaliser. Not sure if it was Sky though. Nothing in the highlights from that angle so, I assume, it was a Burton camera and they are keeping the evidence quiet. Should have been a yellow for simulation. Terrible refereeing...again.Originally posted by Kitman View PostA penalty appeal that makes it onto the highlight reel hints that the Sky TV editors also think it was a stonewall pen

Re: Yesterday's "Penalty"
My exact words to my lad at the time. His not awarding the free kick at the other end was his first opportunity to start to even up. You can almost see his thought bubble - I do think refs are quite transparent in their thought process and decision making at times. It was a foul on Perry and therefore should have been a penalty. No question.Originally posted by LA Bluebird View PostClearest penalty I've seen in a long time, then went down the other end and didn't give Burton a free kick outside the area for an equally obvious foul to even it up.
