Me too, I was inadvertently confronted by a commercial TV channel, and I remembered the time when adverts were fun/amusing.

I think it is part the natural getting older and part things genuinely regressing somewhat.

Music, Sport, Entertainment (maybe with the exception of quality produced tv shows) just don’t seem as good as they were 30 years ago.

When I moved to the US I was shocked at how bad the commercials were.
It took a while for the UK to get there…but they have caught up and probably surpassed the US in shitness on the advertising front.
You don’t get bombarded with prescription pharma ads there, but there always seems to be a plethora of gambling adverts at every break.
