When MVG got that 150 checkout after Chizzy missed darts for 3-0 you thought that could be the momentum swing. MVG followed it up with 4 scores under 100 in the next leg. He only had 16 darts at doubles all game.

Agreed, though Cross will get in as he's back up to number 4 in the world with Michael Smith losing his runner-up money from 2 years ago.

A correction. I make it that, unless Price beats Anderson then Cross will miss out to the winner, or Chizzy if Price beats him in the final.

It would be unprecedented if the world number 5 missed out but I don't think he deserves it.

Assuming they dispense with the changing 10th player due to Covid, that leaves MVG, Price, Wright and whoever finishes in 4th. 6 wildcards - my picks would be the three major winners (De Sousa, Duzza and Van Den Bergh), Chisnall (if he doesn't win WC), Anderson (if he doesn't win WC), Aspinall and I'd include Van Duijvenbode for the Dutch crowds. If Bunting wins WC, drop Van Duijvenbode.
