I’ve been keeping an eye on the championship, firstly for betting and secondly to see if Swansea have lost.

Leicester are in real danger of dropping again as are West Brom.

I was hoping for Pompey to go down for the arrogance when Robertson wanted to leave in the summer, but Leicester would be a biggie.

Could be a tasty league 1 next season. Hopefully we aren't part of it.

        Re: Championship

Leicester look to be in big trouble now, but a lot will depend on who they appoint as their new manager. They definitely have a good enough squad to get out of trouble if the new man can get them going.

I hope Portsmouth join Sheffield Wednesday and Oxford in League One next season. West Brom and Leicester would be more attractive games for us and I've got a small bet on Pompey to be relegated.

Ive no idea on Lutons transfer activity.

          Haven't they got Parachute payments?

Didn't they splash much or any cash.

We've invested in Trott / Osho and Kellyman in the summer. Total nonsense by those saying BBM has had no financial backing but we've clearly benefited by our academy players really kicking on.

What's Lutons investment in players been like?

                I'll answer anyway....

I think I'm right in saying almost all of the money they've earned from the promotion to the Premier League has been earmarked for their new stadium. As regards transfer fees, I don't think they've spent anywhere near what they received from Sheffield United for Mark McGuinness.

These are the 2025/26 signings I could find:

Ali Al Hamadi (loan from Ipswich), Cohen Bramall (free from Portsmouth), Devante Cole (undisclosed from Port Vale in January), Josh Keeley (undisclosed from Spurs), Gideon Kodua (loan from West Ham), Nigel Lonwijk (loan from Wolves), Shayden Morris (undisclosed from Aberdeen), Kai Naismith (free from Bristol City), Kasy Palmer (loan from Hull in January), Jake Richards (compensation fee from Exeter), George Saville (free from Millwall), Danny Van Den Berg (loan from Utrecht in February), Reuell Walters (loan from Blackpool in February), Nahki Wells (free from Bristol City) and Jerry Yates (undisclosed from Derby, now on loan at Sheffield Wednesday).

There may be other minor deals. They’ve had a huge turnover of players, but no major signings.

Looks like about 11 teams going for the last play off spot too…..
