We look so fluid playing without a target man. Wimbledons centre halves had no-one to mark for most of the game, were spectators for most of it. Kellyman & Colwill arriving from deeper positions gave them problems all night. I’m a big fan of Salech but I don’t think we’d have scored 16 in 5 with him in the team.

Re: 16 goals in 5 games without a centre forward
I've been saying all season our biggest weakness is that we don't put teams to the sword. As much as Salech is a 20 goals a season striker, playing Kellyman as the false 9 gives us so many more options to get behind them.
The good news is we now have a plan B if things aren't going well.

Salech has got us out of jail more than once this season, and we really missed him against Burton for example. And to be honest, against Stockport.Originally posted by Des Parrot View PostWe look so fluid playing without a target man. Re: 16 goals in 5 games without a centre forward
Strikerless Cardiff is a different beast. Watching the youngsters zip it around last night felt like a cup mismatch; we were just idling in first gear until we chose to kill the game off. After five decades of watching the City, this brand of football is right up there with the very best of it. Pure class.
It's easy to spot where BBM did his apprenticeship. We are getting better and better. The players were smiling all night; even when they were fouled, they were smiling and laughing.
