Remember, all the UK result means is that we didn’t make top 10 in any jury or public rankings. Being 10/26 gets you a point, being 11th place out of 26, or below gets you zero

The Poland jury ranked the UK 11th - still that's 0 points.

Aparrently the UK pumps a shedload of money into the Eurovision system (Not the song contest) which is why we are always in the final without going through the two heats. Same for a few others - I think France, Germany, Spain and Italy. Maybe 1 or 2 others, I'm not sure.

We get automatic access to the final because he are founder members of the competition as are the others that also got automatic access.

When did they all start miming? Haven’t seen it for a while, is that because of Covid or what they do now? The Italian rock band’s guitars weren’t even plugged in ! And the voting system makes no sense when Italy can gain more votes than everyone else put together, why bother with the jury voting for nearly an hour. Totally bonkers

The Italians thought they were quite a heavy rock band.
They all reminded me of a group of 14 year olds who got a band together for the school contest.
