    Re: Spurs.

They could finish third in the championship next season, and then lose in the playoffs to the team finishing eighth.

      Re: Spurs.

I'd love to see them relegated. I remember the last time they went down. It was the year we beat them in the FA Cup with that Peter Sayer goal.

        Saw this on the BBC

"As a Tottenham Hotspur fan, or any fan if you were in this situation, would you take winning the Champions League if it meant you would be relegated from the Premier League?

Thumbs up for yes - silverware is king. Thumbs down for no - top flight status is more important."

        Thumbs down is nearly double.

Can never really understand the logic of league first. The game is about glory, I've read that somewhere before.

When you look back it's titles/promotions and cups or cup runs people look back on fondly. No spurs fan is going to remember the great escape of 26 unless it's something dramatic on the final day.

Seems unlikely clubs like that will be down for long these days without some severe ownership issues anyway.

Spurs getting relegated to the Championship would be a bigger shock than them winning the Champions league, and I would certainly say that the odds at the beginning of the season would have reflected that. A club like spurs, with their stadium and playing staff have no business in the Championship. I wouldn't like to see them relegated, although I won't care if they are.

Aye, wise old Danny Blanchflower would be turning in his grave.

If you can dry your eyes and hold back your tears over Hotspurs! maybe you could make a prediction about the Cardiff City Football Club
                    match tomorrow.

Have you tried looking in the Cardiff City Football Club match thread rather than the one entitled "Spurs"?
