            I think football should follow cricket’s lead and give teams three reviews. Whether that be per game or per half. The captain or manager can call for a review. And like cricket, if the review is upheld you still keep that review. If the ref’s decision was correct you lose the review.

            It’s up to managers and captains to consider whether a decision is worthy of review. And if the call to review was wrong, then that’s the reviewing team’s fault. If it leads to a contentious decision being left to stand, that’s the manager/captain’s fault for wasting their reviews.

            It won’t be perfect. But it’ll be 99% better than what we have now.
