"It was a brilliant performance. I thought from the very start of the game, we were clear in our intent. We were backed by a huge following, and we wanted to give them the best possible Saturday. Thankfully to the players, we did.

"I think we worked hard throughout the course of the game. I think the performance in a lot of ways was similar to Tuesday, but today we created the chances and converted them - on Tuesday, we didn't.

"But really, I'm just so grateful for the players that they remain so focused on playing our way, the Cardiff City way, and not showing any signs of going away from that, in spite of what can be disappointing results.

"We trained brilliantly on Thursday, after a long trip back from Barnsley. All the feelings were right. You can't guarantee that you're going to come here and win - all these games are very difficult, and Exeter has always been a tough game for all the away teams. But today we were really worthy winners.

"We're totally focused on the performances, really, and how the teams wants to improve - probably more so when it can become easy to become distracted by the results of different people. It's a very young squad, so they may not have experienced these situations before.

"We have to try and win on Tuesday. We've already seen how difficult each fixture is in this league, and how easy the game can look at the end when you've put so much hard work into it. We're looking forward to going back home to our stadium, and trying to put on a brilliant performance.

"Hopefully our support will be as large as previous games. It's a tough Tuesday night for our supporters, but hopefully they can come out in numbers and we can try to make the game as exciting as it was today."

A few weekends have been spoilt that’s for sure.

Long may this new “Cardiff City
          Way” continue.

There has been criticism of us messing about on the edge of the box. We must have learned from that with 30 shots yesterday.

He'll still moan that Trott hasn't scored any.

Yeah I REALLY like that reference to ‘the Cardiff City way’.

Let’s hope that it is here to stay for a while.
