Next match: Pre-season. Saturday, July 11th | FC Midtjylland (H) @ Cardiff City Stadium, 12:30pm -
All pre-season fixtures
I think at Mansfield away fans get a whole stand behind the goal so possibly ~2k seats. Limited, but not as limited as some of the other <10k capacity grounds we’ve been to this season.

I remember a previous "last away game of the season" at Mansfield. Some City fans came on trains, donned in fancy-dress, and throughout the walk to the ground the Nottinghamshire police had to stop them getting ambushed by Forest fans who fancied a day out.
Not so much hooligans attacking scarfers - more like thugs wanting to attack Mr Blobby, Marilyn Monroe, and a scarecrow.
What amount of tickets could we ask for Reading? 4,000?
It used to be 4500. I think now it's around 2000. Ridiculous to think that Reading would choose to lose about Ł50k.
I think we should open the Canton to away fans and keep a block at each end for segregation. City fans wouldn't even fill the The Ninian and the Grange End at the moment.

If reading have nothing to play for I don’t see why they won’t give us as many as they can? We always used to take between 3-4000 fir nothing games in the championship and seeing us take 2000 plus to games ooop north early ko and live on tv, I think reading away will have huge demand.

This has changed slightly, they still will only give us half the stand behind the goal, however they've extended the away section into the upper tier of their main grandstand, so I think the allocation can go up to about 2,900.

Have a word Dan, with Mansfield being limited, this will be our last big away outing of the season, we need the max we can get.

Surely it will be in Reading's interest for them to just move what I should imagine would be a small number of fans and give us a few thousand more seats.
Better that rather than lose out on money and run the chance of groups of Cardiff fans going in the home end and there being subsequent issues.
Maybe Mansfield can do what Scunthorpe kindly did, in our promotion year back in the day, and give us three sides of the stadium.
Last time I was at Mansfield they only had 3 sides to their stadium. I’ve just found out they’ve built a swanky new 700 seat stand on the 4th side of the pitch.
