Sky will probably insist it is a 4pm Sunday game - with us scheduled for Sat (May get moved)

I know Sky are powerful, but I don’t think even they can move the month of May !

And the teams in the final, they love games at Cardiff and can make a weekend of it.

Agreed. I met a few fans on the day of the first cup final, they hated the thought of it, then when they got here they couldn't believe how good it was, with the ease of getting here and all the pubs so close.
Wembley is a nice stadium in a shithole.

I suspect it was only the media who hated it when the finals were in Cardiff - certainly the fans I knew who went to millennium finals loved the centrality of it all with pubs hotels and restaurants all in walking distance of the town and also the attitude of the police was different as well 👍

Yeah, but fans don't have to drink in and around Wembley, or whatever they're going to do. They can pretty much go anywhere North of the river without having too much bother getting to the stadium in good time.

You can, I think though one of the nice things is you spill out into the bars, hopefully in celebration, surrounded by fellow fans. In London if you travel any distance out from Wembley plenty wouldn't even know a match was on.

Very true, and i get the point you're making, Cardiff is obviously more intimate. I'm just a bit weird, i don't want to be around a load of bloody football fans celebrating a win........

Liverpool fans were here a lot, from memory; loads stayed at the Village hotel. They loved it and could talk highly enough about Cardiff and the football atmosphere.

Should be moved around the country periodically imo.

Newcastle, Everton, both Manchester clubs and Villa (especially after their expansion) could all host it and it’s an event away from London. Throw in Cardiff and that covers most regions of the UK.

But the FQA want to recoup their investment in Wemberly
