  • The last few seconds of added on time, today...

...we have a free kick at an angle..just inside their half. The big screen's clock is clearly showing that it will be the last play of the game. Salech is on the pitch, and the defenders move up the pitch, ready for a long cross to be pumped into the area.
What happens?...some hapless clown passes the ball square about 8 yds...the referee blows up. Jeez!!

It’s not 2018. Warnock, Flint and Morrison have left the club.

It is annoying late on, either just before half time or at full time when you just need to take a chance.

I've not seen it mind but if it's as described it sounds like he would have blown when the ball was played anyway.

Yeah frustrating. We were also incorrectly given a corner 2nd half when it was clearly a goal kick and I the ref realised he'd made a mistake. I said as soon as this goes in he will give a free kick and he did. We should have played a short one. We are absolutely useless and no threat from set plays anyway

Perry Ng was to blame. Not for the first time: Did the same against Blackpool recently.

I think he would have let the long ball attack finish.
He probably thought....ok, **** them, if they don't want to get the ball.in the box quickly, I'll blow up.

He can be a liability at corners. Thinks he's a hard man

We worked a nice corner routine to create a good shooting chance for Joel Bagan yesterday, but in true current City style, he didn't trust himself to hit the ball first time and so we ended up with a dribbler through to the keeper after he'd taken an unnecessary touch before shooting.

"A minimum of 5 minutes". Get in the box and something good might happen. Pass it sideways from the free kick and nothing will happen. Sometimes (more often) we need to play the %age game. Shoot...could score directly/with a rebound/get a corner. Tippy tappy pass it around in the box....won't score. Tanner needs to think "back pass" too and not constantly try to get a ball through the physical object that is a defender. A bit more intelligence required. A very frustrating match ending with boos, again, by me. JC to start and Robertson. RC on the bench. As for Kpakio....

Kpakio...i got slaughtered the other week, when I said he should go back to the u der 21s for the rest of the season. His Wales appearance knocked his confidence

I agree we should have at least tried, they must be scared of losing the ball and getting hit on a break or something.

                        It's frustrating, isn't it.

He often takes a lazy swing at the ball, which all too often gets blasted against the defender's legs.

A Blackpool supporting friend of mine said how surprised and grateful they were that we spent the last 10 minutes of the match against them passing it around in midfield rather than getting it into the box when their defenders were practically on their knees.

I actually think Tanner is as thick as two short planks..if there are three defenders in front of him he just kicks it at them...no tact or guile

You may think that. I couldn't possibly comment (although I did ask they guy next to me yesterday if he'd ever wondered how many GCSEs Tanner has)
