Before the area that is known as pentebane was built, it was probably woodland, trees, bushes, shrubs etc.

I would guess that most estates were probably woodland, trees, bushes, shrubs etc. before development
The street I live in was called Aberpergam Street previously according to our deeds but AI says it wasn't.

Of course they would have been. I'm kind of agreeing with you, although mindful of the impact on the existing community and wildlife. If I was in power then I'd turn every golf course in the UK into affordable housing or god old council estates, those places need a bit of diversity........

When I moved to St Mellons in 1987, we were on the edge of the development. Now there's hundreds of houses built around in several stages.
But still no station that was announced at the time!
