It’s strange to think my days as a regular in the Leather Bottle were about fifty years ago now. That or the Bulldog were the closest pubs to me when I lived in Ashcroft Crescent, but I spent most time in the Quarry-before i realised that there were far better pubs in Canton and Town!

Pretty sure the Bottle is still open - it used to double as a curry house at one time.

Not sure. Don’t think so. Haven’t been over that way for yrs.Drank in there and played pool a few times when i was younger. Had a bit of bother in there once with a local arsehole called Ginger Britto.
Haven’t seen him around for yrs either.

McIlroy starting where he left of yesterday, playing some very erratic golf and the complete opposite of his first two rounds.

Young two ahead now but Scottie Scheffler has made some great saves, only 3 shots off the lead and looks "ominous" (giggity)

Would love to see Justin Rose win and he's started his round well.

Edit: Young drops a shot at 6 so only one ahead now

Rose is playing faultlessly as he storms into a two shot lead. So many have a shot at this though. Top entertainment.

Too often over the years it feels like a bit of a procession on the final day but so many left in it here. Should be a great final 6/7 holes.

McIlroy seems to have got his shit together after his bogey and double bogey, gone two shots ahead.
Rose was in a good position leading but two bogeys have put him 2 behind.
Lots of emotion ahead no doubt.

Bogey on the last and McIlroy wins by one stroke from Scheffler.

He and Young played the last like a pair of fifteen handicappers :hehe:

Fair play he showed a lot if balls again.

Only the 4th player to retain the Masters title.

Slightly gutted for Justin Rose but a tremendous win for McIlroy. In years to come it will look like a wire-to-wire ‘easy’ win but it was anything but that over the Saturday & Sunday. Great entertainment!

Incredible stuff from Rory. Shows the huge weight hed been carrying around at the tournament for the last few years.
One question- if he wins, who presents him with his green jacket?

It was the chairman of the club.

The pomp is OTT and the interview I always find a bit cringey but all the millions in prize money they dish out its understandable that they milk it for all they can.

Yes indeed. I mentioned that the whooping was noticeable by it's absence this week and the Brits must have kept them quiet by the way they performed.

Happy McIlroy won but gutted for Rosey, would have preferred he to win it.
