You suggest that BBM isn't wedded to 'tippy-tappy' 'pass for the sake of it' football, and that probably this is as much a consequence of teams sitting back from the off happy for a point but hoping for 3 much in the same way opponents of Man. City used to do. I'd like to think you're right, and have noticed that as the season progressed we did play more direct, though this may be down to other teams feeling that it was worth having a go at an increasingly inconsistent City. But this brings me to one aspect of our play that BBM hasn't seemed to be able to crack. I usually catch up with the Sky highlights form PL and Championship games and it's a real surprise to see how many goals/chances come from crosses, high and low. I reckon well over two thirds. Getting on the end of them has to be in BBM's mind when/if he's looking at new players for next season.

I'm a big admirer of BBM. I do however think a set piece coach would be a great Summer Investment.
