Congratulations to all award winners - I reckon the Player of the Year Award went to the right man, although I wouldn't have been too bothered about it going to Bagan.

I'd be fascinated to know what won Goal of the Year - always assuming there was such an award.

Find all the results from the Cardiff City FC Awards Night, held at CCS on Saturday, April 25th...

Lawlor’s goal at Doncaster won it and I was in agreement with the vote although I voted for Salech’s equaliser at Leyton Orient (if that makes sense) not because it was any better or worse than Lawlor’s, it was in the context of the game. We were one down due to Trott’s error and i couldn’t see where a goal was coming from until that bullying run by Salech ending in a great finish whereas Lawlor’s great goal was in a relative stroll of a game.

Thanks, Lawlor's goal was so untypical of a normal centreback's goal and that undoubtedly helped it, but, like you, I wouldn't rate it as our best because the defending wasn't up to much. I agree with you about Salech's goal being the better of the two as he had to battle hard to get there and even the finish wasn't as easy as he made it look.

Mind you, I still find it impossible to choose a goal of the season, I've never known one before like this one with so many very good goals.

Don't know which game it was but Ashford's goal to finish a move where every city player had a touch would be my choice for goal of the season

There's been some pearlers from outside the box as well - Chambers, Ng, Turnbull. I also enjoyed Colwill Junior's one off a corner

I'm so pleased for Wintle. He's has a tough few years. What a fantastic season he's had under BBM.

Surprised it wasn't one of the goals we've scored from all the pinpoint corners we've been taking all season

                          Indeed.

There were times last season, during his loan spell with Millwall, when he didn't even make their match-day squad. It didn't look like he had a future with us either. Fair play to him, he's really turned things around. Fully deserving of his awards and all the accolades he's received this season.

I've had mixed opinions on Wintle in the past, but he's been outstanding this season.
