Would the list show as well players who we have offered deals to.
Last year when the club published the retained list on its website (on 12 June 2025) it included names of players still 'in discussion' with the club (Ralls and Rinomhota), and also players (all u21s) who had been given a contract offer but not yet accepted, rejected or negotiated a revision of the offer.

I wouldn't say we've lost one in allowing him to stay out on loan. Having a decent season for a club who could easily have been relegated from the League, doesn't make him a Championship player.

          Re: Retained List.

Out of the three I’d say Wintle is most likely to leave.

A bit notorious for demanding game time and may be waiting on a verbal commitment before signing.
He bossed this level but didn’t really have the same effect at this level historically

But depends last if BBM deems him irreplaceable - which I’d imagine he does not.

"A bit notorious for demanding game time", really? Well, not that notorious, because it's the first I've heard about this.
You're right, he didn't have such an impact on the Championship; however, he wasn't under the guidance of BBM at that time either.

I would agree that Wintle is the most likely of the three to leave - if anyone does. As you say, he wants guaranteed playing time, and his profile and reputation are high now - so he might have some interesting offers. Thye club won't bring many new players in, and will want to get maximum impact and value from any spending (loans as well as permanents).

My guess is that BBM sees King and Mafico competing for the Wintle role from last season. He also seems to see Turnbull as more of a holding midfielder than an 8/10 (or at least has used him more in that position). Apart from Kpakio there is not much competition at full back or wing back - although maybe Giles or Spears or another u21 could break through. But keeping Bagan and Ng looks to be a bigger priority than Wintle.

There were a few press reports about Wintle kicking back about squad rotation under Erol Bulut and wanting more playing time.

It was the apparent reason that the relationship broke down. Bulut said Wintle was not in his plans and shipped him out to Millwall - where it seems he wasn't in the Millwall manager's plans either.

I'm not surprised Wintle fell out with Bulut the clown played him in the 10 role in some games.

The media and social media - reliable reports or speculation, who knows - 2 years ago under Bulut. Bulut confirmed 'issues' about Wintle's playing time when he was rotating the squad, without giving more details. Maybe a lot of smoke, but certainly a small fire at least.

Pure speculation? Well, if you regard BBM's description of his transfer window plans as 'pure speculation' then maybe!

He has been clear he doesn't want wholesale changes, wants to build on what he's got in the squad and Academy, and is prioritising quality over quantity.

That's the beauty of the manager saying words on the record!

Yes! we will need to spend 50-100m quid if we want to go up. If that is not our ambition! but just to stay up 25m

Unless you are Lincoln, they can spend a threepenny bit and a farthing and win the CL
