Re: IPTV Anyone?
I don't use IPTV because it's illegal and immoral but if I did I'd use this https://nexott.net/pricings/ but I would never

Re: IPTV Anyone?
That only seems to have series and movies on it, not that it matters to me because I pay for all the sports I watch but the one I posted enables the viewer to watch live tv as well, including all sports if they're a sick twisted individualOriginally posted by ToTaL ITK View PostYou're paying lol.

Re: IPTV Anyone?
I think I have the same mate, because he’s asking the same questions. His wife is not entirely sure though!Originally posted by A Quiet Monkfish View PostI have this mate who asked me this the other day - " what's the difference between IPTV and what's euphemistically known as a 'dodgy stick' ?. Personally I have no interest in the matter, but as he's a real close mate I'd like to pass any info folk may have onto him.
(this takes me back to the early 80s and CB radios!)

Re: IPTV Anyone?
You can tell your friends that IPTV is the underlying "product", and a 'dodgy stick' is a tool you use to access the "product".
To use IPTV, you need a provider and an interface. The provider is the nasty person who provides all the TV/movies/shows via a server (i.e., the backend), which some people say is not legal. But, as someone who would never use such a dreadful service, I wouldn't know.
The interface is then the app you use to navigate everything (i.e., the frontend), using the server details given to you by the nasty person. Most people (allegedly) use Tivimate or Smarters for this (these apps ARE actually legal, and can be downloaded from Google, Apple etc.)
As for 'dodgy sticks', these typically refer to Amazon Firesticks. But you don't need a Firestick to access IPTV; if you use Tivimate for example, you can access it on a phone, tablet, smart TV etc.
I've heard that it's a good idea to use a VPN too.

Oh how I miss the old days, a certain poster would now be ranting that " you are all breaking the law and blue matt isnt doing his job and deleting this discussion blah blah blah " , when deep down I knew we were all salt of the earth people and would never do anything wrong

Is there not a risk when the suppliers get busted that your details are on their database?Originally posted by FormerlyJohnnyBreadhead View PostYou can tell your friends that IPTV is the underlying "product", and a 'dodgy stick' is a tool you use to access the "product".

Re: IPTV Anyone?
There was a huge bust a couple of weeks ago according to my friends supplier.
Sent a ripple through the whole industry.
I’m sure it will get itself back on track. Much like the stock markets your take your chances knowing there is risk element attached.
There will be peaks and troughs. My friend has been with his supplier for 4 years and had a very good run. In that time probably 2 or 3 times it’s been down for a week or so whilst they rebuild servers or get a new host.
